European Defense Tech Hackathon — UNIBW Munich

Our first European Defense Tech Hackathon focused on OSINT and FIMI. Join 100+ hackathon participants from across Europe and beyond on November 6-8, 2026, co-organized with the dtec.bw project "Media for Peace (M4P)" at the University of the Armed Forces (UniBw) in Munich. M4P has spent years researching how information is used as a weapon in conflict — Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) — and what can be built to counter it. The hackathon takes on the same problems. If you work on open-source intelligence (OSINT), information operations, or counter-disinformation, this is the one to attend. Participants get 48 hours, mentors from the Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces), and researchers from across the Munich ecosystem who will stress-test whether the idea and prototype hold up.
